my triptych
I have started to make a triptych in response to Bacon's famous triptych's. I am thinking about ideas on a format which could suit narrative painting. Bacon's triptych's tell a narrative and works in this traditional format. I want to use traditional colours used in a triptych, not and exact representation as most things in my work push to be uncertain. I want to use blacks and whites in the figurative parts of the painting, I will use this pallet to emphasise the dullness that comes from being trapped in a society and it's influences. I want the surrounding colours to be vibrant and traditional yet to be overpowering the blacks and white to show the contextual side.
